This month's featured movie is Under the Tuscan Sun. This is the ultimate feel good movie. It is the classic adventure movie filled with insights for the growth of the soul. It's about a woman who finds herself at the crossroads, facing a divorce and decisions as to what will be her next move. Francesca reluctantly decides to go on a tour of Tuscany Italy very soon after her divorce. She was feeling down and blue but decided to take the trip anyway. This trip changes her whole way of being, and leads her to a whole new life. In life we have, be willing to step in a new direction. If you take one step God takes two in your world. But if you take no steps God leaves you stuck where you are. When Francesca gets to Italy she gets several signs telling her that she should buy a villa and move there. Although it is a scary decision, she takes the chance and follows the signs. We have to learn to live more according to our signs and intuitions and less according to conventional thinking even if we are somewhat afraid. Once again her following the signs given to her, change her life for the better. She met the most interesting woman in Italy who proved to be a wonderful mentor and friend. When we are on our adventure and we treat it like one, just the right people are sent our way to help us along. Francesca's friend and mentor was always quoting her mentor. Two of the quotes were "You have to live spherically, in many directions.", and "Never loose your childish enthusiasm.". These are two good pieces of advice. I have learned over the years that I have to be a writer, teacher, father, husband, business owner, etc. It's just fine to wear all these hats. Also, it is very important on the spiritual path and in life to be excited and live as though you are in an adventure. If you do, you will have one with many discoveries along the way. The movie told a story about how they built a route for a train with tracks high in the Alps long before there was even a train capable of traveling that high up in the mountains. But they built it anyway, because they knew one day the train would come. Francesca chose to do the same with fixing up her villa long before she knew how to make her dream come true. She wanted a wedding there with lots of family so she continued to work on it and live her life there in Italy. She also wanted to find the right man and finish her book. This eventually all came to life. She had new family and friends at her beautiful home, there was a wedding there, she completed her book and had a sign that she met the right man. If you build it they will come. Francesca's friend told her that one day when she was a little girl, she spent most of the day searching for lady bugs until finally she got tired of looking and fell asleep in the grass. When she woke up she had ladybugs crawling all over her. Live your life. Know what you are seeking is also seeking you. Stop looking, relax, and just be nonattached to the outcome. If you can do this, what you are searching for will miraculously come your way. These are some of the inspiring insights I found in the film. I hope you enjoyed them, and enjoyed this incredible movie Sincerely, Craig Kimbrough
